Real Estate
Making sure property is transferred, titled, and documented the right way.
Property is usually the largest asset a family owns, and small mistakes in how it is titled or transferred can create expensive problems years later. Meeghan helps clients get it right the first time.
Much of this work overlaps with estate planning and probate. How a deed is written determines whether property passes automatically, whether it has to go through probate at all, and whether a surviving spouse or child has rights in it. Meeghan looks at those questions together rather than in isolation.
She also reviews purchase and sale contracts before they are signed. That is the point where terms can still be negotiated and where problems are far cheaper to fix than after closing.
Meeghan also accepts appointment as a special master in real property matters.
