Advocating for children
A dedicated Guardian ad Litem
Meeghan’s commitment to families runs deeper than the courtroom. Her work as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL), an advocate appointed to represent a child’s best interests, began in 2006, the year she graduated from the University of Central Florida.
She started at the Guardian ad Litem Program for the State of Florida, helping recruit and train the volunteer GALs appointed in dependency cases. She also served as a volunteer GAL herself, and was honored to play a part in the adoption of multiple children, an experience that remains among the most meaningful of her career.
Over time, Meeghan earned the trust of local attorneys and judges, who began appointing and hiring her as a GAL in family law cases. She has served in that role many times, in matters that have settled and matters that have gone to trial, and she genuinely loves the work. Testifying as a witness also gave her a rare view of the process from the other side of the stand, sharpening the skills she now brings to every client. Above all, she values the chance to make a real difference in the lives of the families she serves.
About Meeghan
A broad perspective on every case
Over her career, Meeghan has built a deliberately broad legal background, handling matters in probate, estate planning, real estate, family law, dependency, domestic violence injunctions and more. That range is an advantage for her clients: she sees how the pieces of a case fit together, weighs each issue from several angles, and builds a strategy tailored to your goals. Thoughtful, creative, and genuinely invested, Meeghan is committed to the best possible outcome for the people she represents.
